The walls had weird stains and holes and there were stains on the beds There were weird stains on the power outlets. We asked for a room with 2 beds and a pullout couch but they gave us a room with 2 small beds for 4 people. The shower wouldn’t turn on. There was a cigar burn on my bed and the wifi was terrible

Rooms were dirty. Double bed on a twin bed platform so the mattress rocked. Bedding falling apart. AC was broken and the plug was fried and burned. Housekeeping came in while I was in the shower despite the DND sign being on the door and argued with me I was supposed to have checked out (it was 9am and we still had one more night in our stay). Manager never got back to us about any issues.

I'm disabled and NEVER in my 40+ years staying in hotels have I ever been asked to leave for something disgusting that I would never do. I'm disabled NOT a pig. On top of that they never put the duvet back on the bed and so I had to sleep in my clothes and cover myself with my jacket. I was treated very poorly as if I was a homeless man I'm deeply offended and disgusted that people are treated this way in 2023. Nothing can rectify the distaste I have for this place. Glad to be out of here!! Very inaccessible for persons with disabilities. CASE CLOSED?!!

horrible, horrible, horrible. It was basically a hotel on top of an event center that was hosting rowdy stag parties. I should have know there would be a problem when there was a security guard in the lobby. There was a fight in the hallway right outside our door and the mirror in the hallway was smashed all over the floor. Two hours later we decided to leave and the broken glass was all over the hallway still

Hopefully, anyone potentially staying here will read and consider the 1-star ratings before booking (I noticed the overall Google rating of "good" but did not read the details). Unfortunately, most of the 4 and 5-star ratings relate to the event space and not the hotel rooms themselves. There are zero amenities in or around the hotel - no microwave, no refrigerator, no bar/restaurant/room service, and no convenience stores within walking distance. That said, the generally lower than Toronto average cost is attractive as is ample free parking. Unknowingly, I booked 3 nights during the annual Toronto International Film Festival when the average rate for the good hotels downtown was about $1,000 per night. Even Montecassino took advantage of this event, raising its rate to about $200. The good parts of the hotel that resulted in my 3-star review are the free parking, easy access to the subway station (very clean and spacious station and excellent subway service every 3 to 4 minutes), clean and large room, and common areas with lots of marble. Many of the negatives in the 1-star ratings are understandable. The hotel still uses old-fashioned metal keys, the beds aren't very comfortable and the pillows are terrible. If you decide to book here, suggest you check out the assigned room before bringing luggage and other travelers. This will avoid problems such as non-functional ac/heat or a room that hasn't been cleaned properly.
